Hedflux

Once described as “harnessing the rational to illuminate the transcendental” the Hedflux project was born in 2004 with the intention to create high energy electronic dance music based on breakbeat grooves with a psychedelic aesthetic The first Hedflux record ‘Music is My Weapon’ was released in 2007 and was well received by the community, later tracks like Mindcell and Revolve would come to redefine the niche genre of Psybreaks, and inspire a worldwide explosion of interest in the style

By 2012 Hedflux was a regular feature on the international club and festival circuit, establishing a solid reputation for independent original music and transformative DJ sets The Wanderlust EP in 2013 marked a diversification of sound and style, taking the classic Psybreaks formula into new timings, tempos and grooves, breaking the mould and going on to be quite influential In 2015 Hedflux moved west and spent 3 years living and touring in the Americas, where the albums Soul Science and Kin were completed, and where Audio Alchemy was born. In 2018, at the age of 40, with the wanderlust well and truly satisfied, he returned to his ancestral home in Scotland, settled down with his family and built a custom music studio to be his permanent base of operations
